[01:57:39] whatever yeah exactly we can imagine ish sure well with regard to the rebuilding of houses yeah um that

[01:57:48] was a symbol that um peace was happening got it so okay when they said having our houses been recently

[01:57:56] rebuilt they were like what it's you know we're confident that all is well and it's peace time

[01:58:05] and you know we can go ahead and ignore all threats of any further Babylonian invasion

[01:58:11] got it yeah so that's what that part referred to okay um as far as the pot the city would be a shield

[01:59:04] their little city yeah okay and and it made them feel good to think that got it um as for the meat

[01:59:12] the metaphor seems to imply like I said that the people in Jerusalem were the choice cuts of meat

[01:59:17] while the exiles in Babylon were just the scraps and rejected pieces and we know

[01:59:23] from what we've read that it was exactly the opposite that when Babylon and Assyria before them

[01:59:30] came into a city um they would kidnap the cream of the crop right and you know slowly over and

[01:59:37] over again so that all that was left was the dregs sure but I mean if you are those people

[01:59:42] that are left you are obviously going to view yourself in a better light sure you're going

[01:59:45] to find any reason to take better of the situation I'm not I'm not trying to talk about how they felt

[01:59:52] right I'm just saying it was a common war practice to take the cream of the crop people right the

[02:00:01] more talented the more rich the the more skilled um because then it it leaves the more less

[02:00:10] qualified well and also those are generally people that are leaders in the community which

[02:00:15] cuts down on people fighting against the the people trying to control you exactly like not only

[02:00:21] are the only people left unlikely to be able to fight but they are also less likely to be able

[02:00:29] to lead right so yeah that's what I mean by dregs of society got it um they were just there was

[02:00:36] no reason to kidnap them sure so it's just ironic that they felt that they were you know the

[02:00:43] choice meat and that they were safe in their little Tupperware dish yeah so um going on to

[02:00:50] verse six then it says you have killed many people in this city and filled its streets with the dead

[02:00:56] and then verse seven says therefore this is what the sovereign lord says the bodies you

[02:01:00] have thrown there are the meat and this city is the pot but I will drive you out of it

[02:01:06] and that means Jerusalem is no longer a crock in which the food is secured storely or is securely

[02:01:13] stored sorry yeah that was um my dyslexia acting up yep instead she is now a pot over the fire in

[02:01:20] which the meat is being cooked got it so now she's that pot she's not the Tupperware dish anymore

[02:01:54] moving on to chapter 12 yeah um we had some confusion as to where Ezekiel was when he was

[02:02:05] doing his little pantomime shit where he was packing his bag and right tending to go into exile we

[02:02:11] thought maybe that he was back in Jerusalem and this was taking place before anybody was exiled

[02:02:17] well and I know so I just to interject here real quick I know that you had said that I was confused

[02:02:24] too so like there was uh there was you had said that he was part of the second exile which confused

[02:02:30] me a little bit because I was thinking that the second exile was the one where basically Jerusalem

[02:02:35] was sacked right right but it's not there there was essentially three exiles there was

[02:02:40] one in 605 there was one in 597 and then one in like 586 and those were the three exiles and the

[02:02:49] last one was when the last Jerusalem fell right right but but when they refer to the second exile

[02:02:54] they're referring to the 597 one which is when Ezekiel went to Babylon essentially so and that's

[02:03:01] where he was when he was doing his little pantomime stuff right and we were confused because

[02:03:06] we're like they're already in exile so why would he be talking about exile to the exile right yeah

[02:03:14] that's just weird so um in chapter 12 verse 3 it reads therefore son of man pack your belongings

[02:03:20] for exile and in the daytime as they watch set out and go from where you are to another place

[02:03:26] so it would have seemed like he was back in vision land or else that this took place prior to him

[02:03:33] having left Jerusalem that he was speaking to the people of Judah or Jerusalem yeah but um no he was

[02:03:42] actually doing this show for the Babylonian exiles okay and here's why um God commanded Ezekiel to

[02:03:51] act as if he were going into captivity or exile even though he was already an exile in Babylon

[02:03:57] God wanted him to act this out among the exiles to make a message from God clear that all those

[02:04:04] remaining in Judah would go into captivity and it's important to keep in mind that there were many

[02:04:11] false prophets during this time in Judah Jerusalem and even among the exiles in Babylon

[02:04:17] and um they the the false prophets were promising that God would rescue as people

[02:04:23] from the Babylonians got it so he was speaking to his brethren saying he's like no we ain't gonna

[02:04:31] get rescued yeah he's saying you know that thing that we went through this thing that i'm play acting

[02:04:36] our folks back home are going to be doing this too in a minute right just you know stop with

[02:04:43] your nonsense right and uh rival prophets were foretelling a speedy return to a flourishing

[02:04:49] Jerusalem and he was like shaking his head nope not gonna happen got it and it was likely hoped that

[02:04:54] this action would make the refugees realize that those left in Jerusalem would shortly be joining

[02:05:01] those who had already been deported to Babylon so that makes a little bit more sense in regard

[02:05:08] to where he was and what he was doing sure but it seems like really weird that he had to play

[02:05:16] act this and couldn't just be like hey those guys back home are gonna have to pack their bags soon

[02:05:22] so says the lord right like i don't know the whole play acting thing just seems really

[02:05:29] just unnecessary and dramatic and yeah but i guess if he's doing this all day he's probably

[02:05:37] gathering a crowd and then you know when they're like look at this freak look what he's doing

[02:05:43] look he's digging holes and walls and shit hey watch this guy and then as they gather then he can

[02:05:48] stand up and be like so this is what i was doing before a large crowd well and it seems like they

[02:05:54] are very big on demonstration like this the zekeel in particular is really big on demonstrations

[02:07:17] capable of using words they're at the point where they're writing shit down

[02:09:47] guess we're gonna be doing the the bear versus man discussion then all right let's do this okay

[02:09:53] okay so we are gonna talk about the man or bear question okay and before we do that even i'd like

[02:10:11] to kind of address your um reticence to even respond to it in intro yeah and you kind of

[02:10:19] looked at me like i was cuckoo um and i wanted to explain that a lot of men even have responded

[02:10:28] not just women that they would prefer the bear over the man um some of the reasoning is because

[02:10:36] a bear attacking you in the woods is just doing what an animal does there's no malice it's just

[02:10:41] nature sure a man can do any number of things that are not just um rapey they can keep you alive

[02:10:52] and torture you for for ages and that's why a lot of people would choose the bear like you may die

[02:11:01] under most circumstances but one lacks malice or recording it for others to laugh at or you know

[02:11:09] what were you wearing when you were being attacked by the bear kind of thing yeah so that's why

[02:11:17] it's the acknowledgement that man can be so much worse than the bear i don't i don't disagree with that

[02:11:27] i mean it's nature it's nature versus malice right yeah right so i mean that's the ultimate

[02:11:35] ultimately that's the argument but i mean i think that ultimately women have a lot more reason to

[02:11:43] not want to be alone with a man in the woods than a man would have sure sure so while i agree with you

[02:11:50] on intent and malice and things like that i think that someone who could be dangerous to another human

[02:11:58] being that is a woman in the woods wouldn't necessarily be the same danger to a man at the

[02:12:03] same in the same scenario you know what i'm saying no yeah definitely i just wanted i just

[02:12:08] wanted to put out there that you you felt like it wasn't necessarily a fair question to ask you

[02:12:15] given that like you are a man sure and i just wanted to put out there that it is a fair question to ask

[02:12:22] of any gender because it is the question itself is a thought exercise on cruelty of man right i

[02:12:31] understand that that that actually opens the door into what even are we talking about right yeah

[02:12:38] so there was a tiktok video that surfaced wherein a man asked eight women um if you were

[02:12:47] alone in a forest would you prefer to be alone with a man or a bear sure and seven of the eight

[02:12:54] without even stopping to think about it chose the bear right and that should have been the

[02:13:00] end of it that should have been a yep that makes sense that tracks great but instead it blew up

[02:13:06] into this whole like debate and they took the thought exercise and turned it into this legitimate

[02:13:14] you know it depends on this forest and that depends on uh the type of bear right right you

[02:13:20] know statistically blah blah blah you know the man who is like well actually right right and so

[02:13:28] that kind of gets even further to the point of yep and that's why i'd still rather choose the bear

[02:13:35] yeah like instead of like explaining why my choice was stupid um you're actually proving that i made

[02:13:43] the right choice right right so um this gets into like mansplaining and men being indignant and just

[02:13:52] offended and how dare and not all men and but women are hateful too and sure you know bears are
