[00:01:16] Welcome to Sacrilegious Discourse.

[00:01:17] I'm husband.

[00:01:18] And I'm wife.

[00:01:19] Together we're reading the Bible for the very first time.

[00:01:22] We grew up without religion and wanted to know what all the fuss was about.

[00:01:26] Well, what have we learned so far?

[00:01:27] That God is a dick and apparently some people believe in talking donkeys.

[00:01:32] We're not trying to pass ourselves off as experts.

[00:01:34] Nope, we're just reading the Bible for the first time and giving our first take reaction.

[00:01:38] If you'd like to join us in this venture, you might consider starting that episode one.

[00:01:42] Otherwise jump in wherever you like.

[00:01:44] Alright, let's go read the Bible.

[00:01:46] Yeah, let's get to it.

[00:01:50] Husband!

[00:01:51] Wife!

[00:01:52] Do you remember what the hell happened yesterday and where the hell we are today?

[00:01:56] Oh, do I remember what happened yesterday?

[00:01:58] Do ya.

[00:01:59] Do I?

[00:02:00] What was it?

[00:02:00] Jesus Christ.

[00:02:02] Yeah, it was not good.

[00:02:03] No, so we just got done reading Ezekiel chapter 23.

[00:02:07] We did.

[00:02:08] And in Ezekiel chapter 23, it was terrible.

[00:02:12] It was porn.

[00:02:14] It was porn.

[00:02:15] It was horse dicks.

[00:02:17] There was horse dicks.

[00:02:18] No, it was donkey dicks and horse cum.

[00:02:21] Yeah, yeah.

[00:02:22] I mean that was legitimately in the fucking Bible.

[00:02:24] Yeah, I did not expect that.

[00:02:26] I did not understand how this was the Bible that we were reading.

[00:02:31] Now to get a little bit more in depth about it,

[00:02:33] it was a symbolic message where we were reading about these two sisters

[00:02:37] who were named...

[00:02:39] Oh, Halan.

[00:02:40] Oh, but Halan was about...

[00:02:41] Sure, yeah, right.

[00:02:42] There's two sisters they represented, Samaria and Jerusalem.

[00:02:47] And they were talking about how they were whores,

[00:02:50] and symbolically I guess.

[00:02:52] But then they started talking about fucking horse cum.

[00:02:54] And I'm like, this has gotten way beyond fucking symbolism here.

[00:02:58] Y'all lost the thread.

[00:02:59] What is going on?

[00:03:00] So anyway, God was...

[00:03:03] He still doesn't like the fact that his people worship idols

[00:03:06] and do all the things.

[00:03:07] And so, yeah.

[00:03:09] That was Ezekiel chapter 23,

[00:03:14] which means that today we're getting into...

[00:03:16] Ezekiel chapter 24.

[00:03:19] Before we get in, I do have one thing I'd like to mention,

[00:03:22] and that is that we are starting a new...

[00:03:24] Well, not starting a new work.

[00:03:25] We have a place that you can go now to support us

[00:03:28] through just shopping.

[00:03:30] If you shop on Amazon,

[00:03:32] you can support us every time you shop on Amazon.

[00:03:35] So there is a link that I've created,

[00:03:37] and you have to type this in specifically.

[00:03:40] It is sacraladistdiscourse.com forward slash Amazon.

[00:03:44] And then follow the link on that page to go to Amazon

[00:03:47] and everything that you purchase from Amazon

[00:03:50] will then support our podcast,

[00:03:52] which would be absolutely incredible.

[00:03:54] And who doesn't shop on Amazon?

[00:03:56] Well, I'm not judging you if you don't.

[00:03:58] It's a major conglomerate that, you know, whatever.

[00:04:01] I shouldn't bash them too much.

[00:04:03] Right.

[00:04:05] Anyway, it is what it is.

[00:04:07] But if you do shop there,

[00:04:08] there's a link at sacraladistdiscourse.com forward slash Amazon

[00:04:13] where you can help us out just by shopping on Amazon.

[00:04:15] So that being said, we did Ezekiel chapter 23 yesterday.

[00:04:19] We're getting ready to hop into Ezekiel chapter 24.

[00:04:22] And are you ready to do this, wife?

[00:04:24] I am.

[00:04:25] Let's do it.

[00:04:26] Okey-dokey.

[00:04:28] I'm Sandra.

[00:04:30] And I'm just the professional your small business was looking for.

[00:04:38] But you didn't hire me because you didn't use LinkedIn jobs.

[00:04:41] LinkedIn has professionals you can't find anywhere else,

[00:04:44] including those who aren't actively looking for a new job,

[00:04:47] but might be open to the perfect role like me.

[00:04:50] In a given month, over 70% of LinkedIn users

[00:04:52] don't visit other leading job sites.

[00:04:54] So if you're not looking on LinkedIn,

[00:04:56] you'll miss out on great candidates like Sandra.

[00:04:58] Start hiring professionals that are willing to help you

[00:05:01] and help you find a job.

[00:05:03] And if you're looking for a new job,

[00:05:05] you can get a job on LinkedIn.

[00:05:06] And you can find a job at Ezekiel chapter 23.

[00:05:09] And you can find a job at Ezekiel chapter 24.

[00:05:11] So I'm Sandra.

[00:05:13] Start hiring professionals like a professional.

[00:05:15] Post your free job on LinkedIn.com slash Spoken today.

[00:05:19] When you're ready to pop the question,

[00:05:21] the last thing you want to do is second guess the ring.

[00:05:24] At blunile.com, you can design a one-of-a-kind ring

[00:05:27] with the ease and convenience of shopping online.

[00:05:38] Hello, this is Danny Pellegrino,

[00:05:40] host of the Everything Iconic podcast.

[00:05:42] And I'm here to tell you all about Splash Refresher

[00:05:45] because hydration is mandatory, but boring is not.

[00:05:48] Now I love my water, but if I don't spice it up,

[00:05:50] I'm not gonna finish what I took out of the fridge.

[00:05:53] That's why I love my Splash Refresher,

[00:05:55] which is flavorful, delicious, bright hydrating

[00:05:58] in zero calories.

[00:06:00] The wild berry flavor is my fave.

[00:06:02] No wait, this is the pineapple mango flavor, my fave.

[00:06:05] You know what?

[00:06:06] All five craveable splash refresher flavors are my fave

[00:06:10] because they're so delicious.

[00:06:11] So get hydrated and enjoy it with splash refresher.

[00:06:18] All right, we are hopping into EZ Kyle chapter 24.

[00:06:24] As I like to say, Ezekiel chapter 24.

[00:06:26] I don't know why you like to say that.

[00:06:28] I don't, it's not that I like to say it,

[00:06:30] it's just that I feel the need to say it

[00:06:32] because we are actually trying to let people know

[00:06:36] what we're reading.

[00:06:37] And so not everybody knows what you're saying

[00:06:39] when you say EZ Kyle.

[00:06:40] It's just that EZ Kyle is so much more fun than Ezekiel.

[00:06:43] Oh, no doubt, no doubt.

[00:06:45] You are absolutely 100% correct.

[00:06:48] Big E.

[00:06:49] That is correct.

[00:06:51] All right, I'm about to throw a date at you

[00:06:53] and then I'll let you know what that relates to.

[00:06:55] Okay?

[00:06:56] In the ninth year, in the 10th month,

[00:06:59] on the 10th day, the word of the Lord came to me.

[00:07:03] Okay.

[00:07:03] So let me hop over to my notes right quick.

[00:07:05] Yeah.

[00:07:06] So I can tell you when the fuck that was.

[00:07:07] Okay, sure.

[00:07:08] So this prophecy was given in the ninth year of Ezekiah

[00:07:13] about January 5th, either 587 or 588 BCE.

[00:07:19] Okay.

[00:07:20] The very day the king of Babylon

[00:07:21] commenced the siege of Jerusalem.

[00:07:23] I see.

[00:07:24] Okay, all right.

[00:07:25] It's a very momentous prophecy he's giving today.

[00:07:28] Yeah.

[00:07:29] It supposedly happened the same day.

[00:07:31] The same day, same day, that's crazy.

[00:07:33] Okay.

[00:07:34] Yeah, it's almost like it was on purpose or something.

[00:07:36] That's weird.

[00:07:37] Right?

[00:07:38] Yeah.

[00:07:39] Weird.

[00:07:40] Okay, so I'm God now and I'm talking, right?

[00:07:43] Yeah.

[00:07:44] Son of man.

[00:07:45] Yeah, you're human.

[00:07:46] You fucking worm.

[00:07:47] Record this date, this very date,

[00:07:50] this date that they didn't record well enough

[00:07:53] for us to know later

[00:07:55] because we don't have the date.

[00:07:58] To be fair, calendars have changed since then.

[00:08:00] So it's not the easiest thing to,

[00:08:02] I mean we were able to track down

[00:08:04] and they did say that it was on the same day

[00:08:06] that they got invaded for Babylon.

[00:08:07] So they did technically kind of notate it.

[00:08:10] I hear you but I'm gonna push back

[00:08:12] and say that the word of God is not very easily read.

[00:08:19] That is true.

[00:08:20] Okay.

[00:08:21] That is very true.

[00:08:22] Because this book is supposed to be the word of God.

[00:08:23] So I'm just saying.

[00:08:24] Right, and we've talked about this before too.

[00:08:26] Yeah.

[00:08:26] God really wants to be the word of God.

[00:08:29] God should make it work wherever the fuck it is.

[00:08:33] Yeah.

[00:08:34] He should definitely come back

[00:08:35] and re-translate it correctly

[00:08:37] so that there's no misinterpretations of his fucking word.

[00:08:40] And maybe in the edit,

[00:08:41] leave out all the mentions of horse come.

[00:08:45] That would probably be a good move.

[00:08:47] Yeah.

[00:08:48] I would say that that didn't age well.

[00:08:51] That did not age well.

[00:08:52] I don't know if it was appropriate at the time.

[00:08:55] Maybe they talked about horse dicks or donkey dicks a lot.

[00:08:59] I think part of the problem with the Bible though

[00:09:01] is that much of this stuff,

[00:09:03] well while it may have been appropriate at the time,

[00:09:06] it's not appropriate for a God who is actually a good God.

[00:09:11] Or.

[00:09:11] And therefore it loses all,

[00:09:14] there is no commonality between today's values

[00:09:18] and what God wanted for those people back then.

[00:09:21] Right.

[00:09:22] You have to stretch to find that common ground

[00:09:24] with regard to the values of that time versus this time.

[00:09:28] I mean, it's only several thousand years later,

[00:09:30] what do you want?

[00:09:30] Okay.

[00:09:32] So record this date, this very date

[00:09:34] because the king of Babylon has laid siege

[00:09:37] to Jerusalem this very day.

[00:09:38] Okay.

[00:09:39] All right.

[00:09:40] Yeah.

[00:09:41] Tell this rebellious people and don't forget

[00:09:43] he is in Ezekiel is in Babylon

[00:09:46] while this is happening.

[00:09:47] So God's like,

[00:09:48] hey, guess what I'm doing over there?

[00:09:50] Yeah.

[00:09:51] Right?

[00:09:51] Guess what?

[00:09:52] You live here,

[00:09:53] your captors are doing over there.

[00:09:56] Yeah.

[00:09:56] It sounds a little braggy about his mayhem that he's causing.

[00:10:01] And by mayhem, I mean like murder.

[00:10:03] Yes.

[00:10:04] Let's not whitewash it.

[00:10:05] And rape and all the horrible things

[00:10:08] that are happening over there right now.

[00:10:09] Killing the babies and the animals.

[00:10:11] He's gonna brag to Ezekiel, I guess,

[00:10:13] about the fact that he's doing this maybe.

[00:10:15] Guess what I'm doing?

[00:10:16] It's not gonna be called bragging

[00:10:17] because he's gonna let some of them live

[00:10:18] and that's supposed to be a good thing.

[00:10:19] Right.

[00:10:20] But fuck that.

[00:10:21] Right.

[00:10:22] So this is what the sovereign Lord says.

[00:10:24] Okay.

[00:10:25] Here go a parable, ready?

[00:10:26] I'm not excited about this.

[00:10:27] Hmm.

[00:10:28] Put on the cooking pot.

[00:10:29] The cooking pot, huh?

[00:10:30] Remember the pot that we talked about before?

[00:10:32] So this is different than the melting

[00:10:34] or this is a cooking pot now.

[00:10:35] But remember when we talked about

[00:10:37] the Tupperware?

[00:10:38] Yeah, that was supposed to be a safe place apparently.

[00:10:40] Yeah.

[00:10:41] But he didn't say cooking pot last time.

[00:10:43] Right.

[00:10:44] He called it a pot or something.

[00:10:45] Yeah.

[00:10:46] But it wasn't a cooking pot.

[00:10:47] Cooking pot.

[00:10:48] Yeah.

[00:10:49] So he's gonna be like,

[00:10:49] he's gonna cook something.

[00:10:50] But it wasn't a cooking pot.

[00:10:51] The cooking pot sounds like he's gonna cook them.

[00:10:53] Yeah, put on the cooking pot.

[00:10:55] Put it on and pour water into it.

[00:10:58] Put into it the pieces of meat.

[00:11:00] All the choice pieces, the leg and the shoulder.

[00:11:03] Fill it with the best of these bones.

[00:11:06] Take the pick of the flock.

[00:11:08] Pile wood beneath it for the bones.

[00:11:10] There's the bad part.

[00:11:11] Mm, bring it to a boil and cook the bones in it.

[00:11:13] Mm, bone broth.

[00:11:15] Yeah.

[00:11:16] For this is what the sovereign Lord says.

[00:11:17] Ready?

[00:11:19] He says, he says.

[00:11:20] Yeah, this is the bit where he's killing them, right?

[00:11:23] Whoa, to the city of bloodshed.

[00:11:26] To the pot now encrusted,

[00:11:27] whose deposit will not go away.

[00:11:30] I hate that pot.

[00:11:31] Yeah.

[00:11:32] I do that when I cook something too long,

[00:11:34] which is almost every night.

[00:11:37] Take the meat out piece by piece

[00:11:39] in whatever order it comes.

[00:11:41] For the blood she shed is in her midst.

[00:11:44] She poured it on the bare rock.

[00:11:46] She did not pour it on the ground

[00:11:48] where the dust would cover it.

[00:11:50] Okay, so.

[00:11:52] Okay, sure.

[00:11:53] Murder, murder, stab, stab.

[00:11:55] I'm not really sure what this is like.

[00:11:57] I'm missing the connection here between,

[00:12:00] like I get it that that's supposed to relate to something

[00:12:02] but I'm not really understanding what this means exactly.

[00:12:04] Yeah, I'm not sure either.

[00:12:06] Maybe I'm just a little dim, I don't know.

[00:12:08] I'm dim as well.

[00:12:10] To stir up wrath and take revenge,

[00:12:13] I put her blood on the bare rock

[00:12:15] so that it would not be covered.

[00:12:18] Therefore.

[00:12:19] So maybe, I know part of covering blood

[00:12:21] might be to keep animals away.

[00:12:24] Okay.

[00:12:24] So by putting them on the rocks,

[00:12:26] that would display it for people to see

[00:12:30] and also it would invite animals

[00:12:32] into further harm and main people

[00:12:35] so that could be why it's bad, maybe.

[00:12:37] Okay.

[00:12:38] I'm just hypothesizing here, I don't know.

[00:12:41] I have no idea.

[00:12:43] Sure, sorry, I'll let you continue.

[00:12:45] All right.

[00:12:46] Therefore, this is what the sovereign Lord says.

[00:12:48] Okay.

[00:12:49] Woe to the city of bloodshed,

[00:12:51] I too will pile the wood high.

[00:12:53] So heap on the wood and kindle the fire.

[00:12:57] Cook the meat well mixing in the spices

[00:12:59] and let the bones be charred.

[00:13:01] Then set the empty pot on the coals

[00:13:03] till it becomes hot and it's copper glows

[00:13:06] so that its impurities may be melted

[00:13:08] and its deposit burned away.

[00:13:11] It has frustrated all efforts.

[00:13:14] No scouring pad for you.

[00:13:16] Well, that's kind of a disgusting line there

[00:13:18] where he's talking about burning them

[00:13:20] until their impurities fall away.

[00:13:21] Yeah.

[00:13:22] Right?

[00:13:23] Like the impure shall die.

[00:13:24] Mm-hmm.

[00:13:25] And we're supposed to base this

[00:13:29] on the idea of what God wants, right?

[00:13:31] God wants this idea of perfectness

[00:13:34] that he has in his mind, which is worshiping him

[00:13:37] and groveling to him.

[00:13:39] Mm-hmm.

[00:13:40] And if you aren't that perfect thing,

[00:13:43] you are impure and deserve to burn and die.

[00:13:45] Right.

[00:13:46] That's disgusting, that's awful.

[00:13:48] Mm-hmm.

[00:13:48] So.

[00:13:49] Also it reminds me of like in Dune

[00:13:51] where Paul has to stick his hand in the box

[00:13:53] and they're like place your hand in the box

[00:13:57] to see if you're pure, you know?

[00:13:58] Oh, okay, all right.

[00:13:59] I was trying to see how that was relating

[00:14:02] but yeah, okay, all right.

[00:14:04] You know, to see if you're any good.

[00:14:06] Yeah.

[00:14:06] Whatever.

[00:14:07] Right.

[00:14:08] Its heavy deposit has not been removed

[00:14:10] not even by fire.

[00:14:12] Ew, that shit's cooked on for life.

[00:14:15] I guess, yeah.

[00:14:15] Now your impurity is lewdness.

[00:14:18] I would say the last chapter was pretty fucking lewd.

[00:14:21] Yeah, well I mean, but he's been,

[00:14:23] with last chapter,

[00:14:24] he's really been harping on the lewdness.

[00:14:26] Mm-hmm.

[00:14:27] Yeah.

[00:14:28] Because I tried to cleanse you

[00:14:29] but you would not be cleansed from your impurity

[00:14:32] you will not be clean again

[00:14:34] until my wrath against you has subsided.

[00:14:38] I the Lord have spoken.

[00:14:41] The great Oz has spoken.

[00:14:43] Okay, all right.

[00:14:45] The time has come for me to act.

[00:14:47] I will not hold back.

[00:14:49] I will not have pity nor will I relent.

[00:14:53] So God does not have pity here.

[00:14:55] Okay.

[00:14:55] Because he mad, he big mad.

[00:14:57] Right, right.

[00:14:58] You will be judged according to your conduct

[00:15:00] and your actions declares the sovereign Lord.

[00:15:03] Okay.

[00:15:04] So now we're starting another section

[00:15:06] here in this chapter.

[00:15:07] Yeah.

[00:15:08] The word of the Lord came to me,

[00:15:10] you know as it does all the time.

[00:15:11] Multiple, multiple times apparently, yes.

[00:15:13] Right.

[00:15:14] Son of man.

[00:15:16] Yeah, you're human.

[00:15:17] You fucking worm.

[00:15:18] With one blow I'm about to take away from you

[00:15:21] the delight of your eyes.

[00:15:23] He's gonna kill his wife.

[00:15:25] Okay, all right.

[00:15:26] Yet do not lament or weep or shed any tears.

[00:15:30] Grown quietly, do not mourn for the dead.

[00:15:34] Keep your turban fastened and your sandals on your feet.

[00:15:38] Do not cover your mustache and beard

[00:15:40] or eat the customary food of mourners.

[00:15:43] Okay.

[00:15:44] So I spoke to the people in the morning, Izekiel.

[00:15:47] And in the evening my wife died.

[00:15:50] Oh, okay.

[00:15:51] That's some bullshit.

[00:15:52] Yeah.

[00:15:53] And you're not supposed to cry at all or anything.

[00:15:55] Just like when Aaron's kids died

[00:15:58] from picking up the wrong sticks or something

[00:16:00] and God was like don't cry.

[00:16:01] Right, right.

[00:16:02] Don't mourn them.

[00:16:04] The next morning I did as I had been commanded

[00:16:07] then the people asked me won't you tell us

[00:16:09] what these things have to do with us?

[00:16:11] Why are you acting like this?

[00:16:13] Like, aren't you even sad your wife just died?

[00:16:16] I think he murdered her.

[00:16:17] Probably.

[00:16:18] He murdered his wife.

[00:16:19] That's what happened.

[00:16:20] Right.

[00:16:21] And they were like why aren't you sad

[00:16:24] that your wife is dead?

[00:16:25] And he's like oh because God told me not to cry about it.

[00:16:31] Right.

[00:16:32] And the people were like that doesn't make sense.

[00:16:34] And he was like no, no look, look.

[00:16:36] And then he was like and then he was like

[00:16:40] I'll tell you in a minute.

[00:16:41] And then he went into his house

[00:16:42] and he had a little think.

[00:16:43] And then he came out and he was like

[00:16:46] so okay get this, get this.

[00:16:48] God doesn't want me to mourn

[00:16:50] because all the people in Jerusalem are gonna die.

[00:16:55] Right.

[00:16:56] And that's what happened.

[00:16:57] Yeah.

[00:16:58] Yeah, he totally killed his wife.

[00:16:59] Yeah, yeah.

[00:17:00] So I said to them the word of the Lord came to me.

[00:17:04] Again, some more.

[00:17:06] Okay.

[00:17:07] Say to the people of Israel

[00:17:08] this is what the sovereign Lord says.

[00:17:10] I'm about to desecrate my sanctuary,

[00:17:13] the stronghold in which you take pride,

[00:17:16] the delight of your eyes,

[00:17:17] the object of your affection.

[00:17:19] So he's saying I took something from Ezekiel

[00:17:22] the same way that I'm about to take something

[00:17:25] from y'all.

[00:17:26] Right.

[00:17:27] Apparently wife equals entire city and temple?

[00:17:31] Question mark.

[00:17:32] I guess, yeah.

[00:17:34] I mean he's making that equation right?

[00:17:37] Yeah, yeah for sure.

[00:17:38] The sons and daughters you left behind

[00:17:41] will fall by the sword.

[00:17:42] Hold on, hold on, hold on.

[00:17:44] He's saying that they left them behind.

[00:17:47] Like they had a choice in the matter.

[00:17:49] Right.

[00:17:50] They were kidnapped.

[00:17:52] They were, they were.

[00:17:53] They did not leave them by choice

[00:17:55] is my understanding.

[00:17:56] No.

[00:17:57] I mean, God's playing this whole thing

[00:17:59] from the get go, right?

[00:18:00] Like I mean, we've been playing this for,

[00:18:02] I mean probably a century at least.

[00:18:04] Right.

[00:18:05] It seems like if we go all the way back

[00:18:06] to like Isaiah and stuff like that

[00:18:07] we've been kind of talking about this for a while, right?

[00:18:10] Yeah.

[00:18:10] So I mean I don't feel like they hadn't,

[00:18:13] yeah there was no choice in the matter.

[00:18:14] This was gonna happen according to God.

[00:18:17] And if we're to believe that these were prophecies

[00:18:19] and they were correct prophecies

[00:18:20] then there was no choice in it.

[00:18:22] Well he's saying the people you left behind

[00:18:25] you know when you got kidnapped.

[00:18:27] Yeah.

[00:18:28] They're gonna die.

[00:18:29] Hope you're okay with that.

[00:18:30] Right.

[00:18:31] And you will do as I have done says Ezekiel.

[00:18:33] You will not cover your mustache and beard

[00:18:36] or eat the customary food of mourners.

[00:18:38] You will keep your turbans on your heads

[00:18:40] and your sandals on your feet.

[00:18:42] Don't lose your hat.

[00:18:43] Yeah.

[00:18:44] You will not mourn or weep

[00:18:46] but will waste away because of your sins

[00:18:49] and grown among yourselves.

[00:18:51] This is weird.

[00:18:52] It is weird.

[00:18:53] Ezekiel will be a sign to you.

[00:18:56] You will do just as he has done.

[00:18:58] When this happens you will know

[00:19:00] that I am the sovereign Lord.

[00:19:01] Is that, that's what's gonna happen now?

[00:19:03] That's what I'll know.

[00:19:04] Okay.

[00:19:04] That's what I'll know.

[00:19:05] And you son of man.

[00:19:07] Yeah me are human.

[00:19:08] You fucking worm.

[00:19:10] On the day I take away their stronghold,

[00:19:12] their joy and glory,

[00:19:14] the delight of their eyes,

[00:19:15] their heart's desire

[00:19:17] and their sons and daughters as well.

[00:19:19] Yeah.

[00:19:20] That day a fugitive will come to tell you the news.

[00:19:24] At that time your mouth will be opened.

[00:19:26] You will speak with him

[00:19:27] and will no longer be silent.

[00:19:29] So you will be assigned to them

[00:19:31] and they will know that I am the Lord, the end.

[00:19:34] Okay.

[00:19:35] Wait what?

[00:19:36] That's a, that,

[00:19:37] I didn't have a whole lot to,

[00:19:38] I mean that was weird.

[00:19:41] Yeah.

[00:19:42] I didn't catch that somebody's coming

[00:19:45] to talk to them.

[00:19:46] Right.

[00:19:47] And he's not allowed to talk until then.

[00:19:49] Right.

[00:19:50] Yeah. Who the fuck's coming to talk to them?

[00:19:51] I don't know.

[00:19:52] I don't get it.

[00:19:53] Did we skip a bit?

[00:19:54] Did we or is that, that's okay.

[00:19:55] No.

[00:19:56] Right.

[00:19:56] No.

[00:19:57] So who the fuck's coming to talk to them?

[00:19:59] I don't know.

[00:20:00] And it didn't mention it in any of my notes.

[00:20:02] So I'm like what?

[00:20:04] Interesting.

[00:20:05] Yeah.

[00:20:05] So we're going to have to like,

[00:20:07] that's going to have to be a Q and A.

[00:20:09] Either that or it'll be answered in the next chapter

[00:20:11] that we read tomorrow.

[00:20:12] Right.

[00:20:13] Yeah.

[00:20:14] This was not as exciting of a follow up

[00:20:16] to Ezekiel chapter 23 as I was hoping.

[00:20:19] No.

[00:20:20] But it's really weird too that he's like,

[00:20:23] your wife died.

[00:20:24] Don't mourn her.

[00:20:25] Also I'm going to kill everybody.

[00:20:27] Don't mourn them either.

[00:20:28] And then a stranger is going to come

[00:20:30] and then you can talk about it.

[00:20:31] Bye.

[00:20:32] Right. Right.

[00:20:32] Yeah.

[00:20:33] Like we didn't even get a minute to be like,

[00:20:36] oh how much did he love his wife?

[00:20:38] Was she nice?

[00:20:39] Did you?

[00:20:40] Yeah.

[00:20:41] But I don't understand this like thing.

[00:20:44] And it was, who was it before the third?

[00:20:45] It was Isaiah or Jeremiah that they're white?

[00:20:48] No, it was Isaiah.

[00:20:49] Right?

[00:20:50] That his wife died or whatever.

[00:20:51] And he wasn't allowed to mourn or something like that?

[00:20:53] Or who was the other person?

[00:20:54] I was talking about way back when in

[00:20:58] like one of the early chapters

[00:21:00] like Genesis or Leviticus numbers, something like that.

[00:21:04] It was Moses's brother Aaron.

[00:21:07] Aaron had two of his sons.

[00:21:10] They were picking up sticks on the wrong day.

[00:21:11] He wasn't allowed to mourn for that.

[00:21:12] Yeah.

[00:21:13] That's right.

[00:21:14] And he wasn't even allowed to cry or nothing.

[00:21:16] They just had to pretend it never happened.

[00:21:18] I don't really understand this idea

[00:21:21] of not being able to mourn and why it's a good,

[00:21:23] like it's why it's something God wants you to do.

[00:21:26] Right?

[00:21:26] That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

[00:21:27] Like mourning the dead is one of the things

[00:21:30] that separates humans from the animals

[00:21:34] because it's like a community way

[00:21:36] of helping the past remain alive into the future.

[00:21:42] And we bond over it.

[00:21:44] Right.

[00:21:45] So I hate the message of don't mourn.

[00:21:50] Right, right.

[00:21:51] Yeah.

[00:21:52] No, I agree.

[00:21:53] I agree.

[00:21:53] I'm looking forward to the Q and A this week

[00:21:56] because I'm a little confused after that episode honestly.

[00:21:59] And to be perfectly honest with you,

[00:22:01] we were doing a live episode tonight

[00:22:03] and like the internet broke in the middle of it.

[00:22:05] And so I lost my concentration a couple of times.

[00:22:08] So I'm looking forward to the Q and A

[00:22:10] because I don't know if I like didn't pick up

[00:22:12] on something as weird.

[00:22:13] I wasn't as concentrated as normal tonight

[00:22:16] as I normally am because of situations in the live stream.

[00:22:20] But hopefully next time the live stream goes well,

[00:22:25] much better than tonight

[00:22:26] cause we literally lost the internet like halfway through.

[00:22:29] Oh dang, I didn't realize that.

[00:22:30] Yeah, no, it was terrible.

[00:22:32] So.

[00:22:33] Oh, I'm sorry.

[00:22:33] I mean, I fixed it ish, we're back sort of I think

[00:22:37] kind of but anyway, that was that.

[00:22:40] Yeah, this was not a successful live stream tonight.

[00:22:44] But.

[00:22:44] And it was a shitty chapter on top of that.

[00:22:46] It was kind of a shitty chapter.

[00:22:47] Yeah, yeah, I agree.

[00:22:49] Well, so that was Ezekiel chapter 24.

[00:22:52] Sure as fuck was.

[00:22:53] Which means that we will be back tomorrow with.

[00:22:55] Ezekiel chapter 25.

[00:22:57] All right, we'll see you guys then.

[00:22:59] Bye.

[00:23:06] Hey wife, I guess that's the end.

[00:23:08] But husband, that's just sad.

[00:23:10] It doesn't have to be.
