Get ready to tumble down the rabbit hole of religious rhetoric with the latest "Jeremiah Chapter 23" episode of our blasphemously hilarious podcast. Your irreverent hosts are back, slicing and dicing through the divine drama of the Bible's doom-and-gloom darling, Jeremiah. This episode is a no-holds-barred roast of ancient prophecies, where hope is as fleeting as a politician's promise, and condemnation is dished out like a passive-aggressive tweet.
We kick things off with a 'piss pot' performance review of Jeremiah's chapters 22 and 23. Ever wondered how to go from God's MVP to His most wanted in one chapter flat? Jeremiah's got the scoop, and we've got the snark as we dissect the Almighty's bipolar messaging—from offering a divine high-five to dishing out celestial face-slaps.
Strap in as we dive deep into the murky waters of prophecy, where false prophets are as common as fake news, and God's wrath is more overplayed than a pop song on the radio. Our hosts question the validity of divine dreams—because let's face it, when your deity of choice sends more mixed signals than a drunk text, you've got to wonder who's really behind the wheel.
Then, hold onto your fedoras, because we're calling out the modern-day pastors with a divine calling complex. Do they have a hotline to heaven, or are they just mainlining ego? The episode wraps with a teaser for the next biblical beatdown, ensuring that your journey through these ancient texts is as irreverent and intellectually stimulating as a debate on Reddit.
If you're looking for a sanctimonious sermon, you've come to the wrong place. But if you crave a cerebral skewering of scripture with a side of secular sass, tune in to "Jeremiah Chapter 23" for your dose of divine defiance. Remember, in our church of skepticism, all are welcome, no offerings required—just bring your sense of humor and maybe a helmet. It's going to be a bumpy ride.

[00:01:16] Welcome to sacrilegious discourse. I'm husband and I'm wife. Together we're reading the Bible for the very first time.
[00:01:22] We grew up without religion and wanted to know what all the fuss was about.
[00:01:25] Well, what have we learned so far? That God is a dick and
[00:01:29] apparently some people believe in talking donkeys. We're not trying to pass ourselves off as experts.
[00:01:34] Nope, we're just reading the Bible for the first time and giving our first take reaction.
[00:01:38] If you'd like to join us in this venture, you might consider starting in episode one. Otherwise jump in wherever you like.
[00:01:44] Alright, let's go read the Bible one. Otherwise jump in wherever you like. All right.
[00:01:45] Let's go read the Bible.
[00:01:46] Yeah, let's get to it.
[00:01:50] Husband wife.
[00:01:52] Do you remember what happened yesterday and where the hell we are today?
[00:01:56] Well, yesterday we read Jeremiah chapter 22.
[00:01:59] We sure as fuck dead.
[00:02:00] And it started off nice enough.
[00:02:01] Like God was like actually saying, Hey, maybe you guys should you could maybe be safe
[00:02:05] You'd like maybe do some good things for you. Yeah, but then God was like no you guys are kind of shit
[00:02:10] JK JK JK fuck you
[00:02:13] Joaquin was that his name one of those he was he was like he called him a piss pot
[00:02:20] Yeah, definitely all right. I think that about sums it up. Pretty much. That was Jeremiah chapter 22. Yes. Which means that today we're copying into. Jeremiah chapter 23. All right, let's do this. Okie dokie.

[00:03:24] something. I'm not hopping. Thank you very much.
[00:03:26] You did. I'm sorry.
[00:03:27] Jumping hopping. That's not jumping. That's hopping.
[00:03:29] It is. It is Easter season and season.
[00:03:32] It's the end of this month is Easter.
[00:03:34] Are you aware?
[00:03:35] I, you know, honestly, I don't pay much attention as I used to.
[00:03:38] Okay. Well, it's on Sunday, March 31st.
[00:03:42] And we are in the first week of March.
[00:03:44] We should probably start talking about like special episodes and stuff, right? On Sunday March 31st and we are in the first week of March.
[00:03:45] We should probably start talking about like special episodes and stuff, right?
[00:03:48] There's a rabbit in our backyard.
[00:03:50] There is a rabbit in our backyard.
[00:03:52] There goes some Easter.
[00:03:53] There's our Easter.
[00:03:54] And it's raining.
[00:03:55] I like eggs also.
[00:03:57] Eggs are good.
[00:03:58] Oh my God.
[00:03:59] I love Reese's peanut butter eggs.
[00:04:00] Have a bath.
[00:04:01] Yeah.
[00:04:02] All right.
[00:04:03] Yeah.
[00:04:04] So you ready for me to read this? I'm ready. Okay. Here we go. Okay. All right. Yeah. So you ready for me to read this? I'm ready.
[00:04:05] Okay.
[00:04:05] Here we go.
[00:04:06] Okay.
[00:04:07] Okay.
[00:04:08] Whoa!
[00:04:09] To the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pastor says the Lord.
[00:04:14] Whoa.
[00:04:15] To the fishes in the deep air.
[00:04:16] Why are they, why are they, he's telling them to stop?
[00:04:19] Like don't do that or like.
[00:04:20] No, he's saying like whoa unto you.
[00:04:24] Like not like whoa, but more like, whoa,
[00:04:28] got it. Whoa, tears and sadness upon you. All right.
[00:04:32] To the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture. Got it.
[00:04:35] So he's calling his people his sheep, his pasture is the lands and the shepherds who are destroying
[00:04:42] its scattering are the pastors and whatever
[00:04:45] they are. The bad prophets, the false prophets, the bad leaders. Okay.
[00:04:50] Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel against the shepherds who feed my
[00:04:55] people. You have scattered my flock motherfuckers, driven them away and not
[00:05:00] attended to them as holes. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings,
[00:05:06] says the Lord.
[00:05:08] See, he's giving them what for.
[00:05:09] He's talking to those false prophets right now.
[00:05:11] And this is probably because of their prophets.
[00:05:13] Is this like God speaking directly to them?
[00:05:15] Or is this Jeremiah telling them off as usual?
[00:05:18] My guess is Jeremiah.
[00:05:19] Okay.
[00:05:20] All right.
[00:05:21] But I will gather the remnant of my flock
[00:05:23] out of all countries where I have driven them
[00:05:25] and bring them back to their folds and they shall be fruitful and increase.
[00:05:31] I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them and they shall fear no more nor
[00:05:37] be dismayed nor shall they be lacking, says the Lord.
[00:05:42] Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord. Behold, the days are coming says the Lord.
[00:05:46] He says they will fear no more, but literally one of the things that God wants you to do
[00:05:49] as a worshiper of God is to fear God.
[00:05:53] Oh, that's different.
[00:05:55] Fearing him.
[00:05:56] That's okay.
[00:05:57] That's putting all of your fear in one egg basket.
[00:06:01] One candy jelly bean basket.
[00:06:03] You give it to God.
[00:06:04] You give it to God. You give your peer to God.
[00:06:06] Jesus take the meal.
[00:06:07] Yeah.
[00:06:07] So fear there is okay as long as you just,
[00:06:09] he doesn't want you to fear other things.
[00:06:11] You don't have any need to fear other things
[00:06:13] if your fear is all in God.
[00:06:15] Got it.
[00:06:16] Okay.
[00:06:16] Okay.
[00:06:17] Okay.
[00:06:17] He got you because either you had it coming or you didn't.
[00:06:21] Right.
[00:06:21] Yeah.
[00:06:22] See how that works?
[00:06:24] Yeah.
[00:06:24] Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So behold, the days are coming, says the
[00:06:28] Lord that I will raise to David a branch of righteousness, a king shall reign and prosper
[00:06:37] and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. In his days, Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safely. Now this is his name
[00:06:48] by which he will be called the Lord our righteousness, all caps, all caps, not just capitalized words,
[00:06:57] all caps. I'm going to assume that this is kind of like a lot of Christians would take this as a Jesus reference. Yes. Um, but, but maybe, and, and again, I don't, I'm, I'm not well, well versed in the New
[00:07:11] Testament.
[00:07:12] So I don't want to speak out of hand here, but wasn't it the case that the Romans, like,
[00:07:17] you know, punished Jesus for, you know, things, and that's how he ended up on the cross and
[00:07:23] everything, which would make me think that the Israelites weren't really in control of the land when he was
[00:07:28] alive, which would go against what's being said here.
[00:07:31] Is that, is that, is that, yes, I understand that correctly.
[00:07:34] There's some other stuff happening, but yes.
[00:07:36] Okay.
[00:07:37] Yes.
[00:07:38] I'm just, if we're going to, if, as I know, based on what I'm hearing here, people are
[00:07:43] going to say, this is Jesus.
[00:07:47] Don't we have to take it at its full value?
[00:07:48] Is all I'm saying?
[00:07:49] Yes and no.
[00:07:50] OK, OK.
[00:07:51] There's some other stuff happening.
[00:07:59] OK, I mean, also, like in the last chapter, he like killed out or said that last guy,
[00:08:04] you're not going to you and your kids are not going to count.
[00:08:05] You're going to go down to the last king. yeah, the walking or walking or whatever it was.
[00:08:08] Yeah.
[00:08:08] So, you know, that begs to ask the question how.
[00:08:13] Where did the David line stay relevant at?
[00:08:15] How did it come to be?
[00:08:16] Well, obviously we're not there yet.
[00:08:18] So this is just something that I picked up
[00:08:21] that I'm just gonna put down right here
[00:08:23] just for like, hang on to this thought I
[00:08:25] guess. Apparently in Matthew and Luke question mark anyway two of the you know Matthew Mark Luke
[00:08:35] and John guys right in the New Testament. I think it's Matthew and Luke. They do some kind of genealogy
[00:08:42] and like you know begat beg begat begat right?
[00:08:45] I don't know like I said, I haven't read this right apparently one traces
[00:08:51] The line through Joseph and the other traces the line through Mary and so oh
[00:08:59] It might be like they swap they crossed the streams pretty much
[00:09:03] might be like they swap they cross the streams. Pretty much.
[00:09:04] I mean, OK, here's the thing.
[00:09:06] Like the thing about those four, I forget what they're called,
[00:09:10] disciples, right?
[00:09:11] Those four disciple you guys?
[00:09:13] Sure.
[00:09:14] Whatever they're there.
[00:09:15] Yeah.
[00:09:16] Yeah.
[00:09:17] The thing about those guys is that their stories are like very,
[00:09:22] very matchy matchy, except where they aren't. And so the fact that they're very matchy matchy except where they aren't.
[00:09:25] And so the fact that they're so matchy matchy is what makes christians be like they're so matchy matchy that
[00:09:31] um that proves that their story is good but it also is because they're not exactly matchy matchy that's what makes them perfect.
[00:09:40] But it's like I've heard the the parts that don't match talked about before and
[00:09:46] I actually read a book based on this and it is very
[00:09:51] It's kind of detrimental to the story of the parts that don't exactly. Yeah. Yeah, so there's some
[00:09:56] That are not quite again. We haven't quite got there yet, right? I don't want I don't want to speak out of hand too much
[00:10:02] Right. No, I know I'm I. It's just we're getting to that place
[00:10:06] where all of the notes that I read
[00:10:09] are starting to be like-
[00:10:11] Because these problems are highly referenced
[00:10:13] in the New Testament. Yes.
[00:10:15] So, I mean, we can't help but start asking those questions
[00:10:18] ourselves. Sure.
[00:10:19] And what was it that you said
[00:10:22] where they don't match their detrimental blah blah blah.
[00:10:25] Yeah, yeah.
[00:10:26] I lost my train of thought, so forget it.
[00:10:28] Okay, sure.
[00:10:29] But anyway, yeah, we'll get there.
[00:10:31] Right.
[00:10:32] We'll get there.
[00:10:33] And I don't expect we'll be impressed, but...
[00:10:35] Well, yeah, yeah.
[00:10:36] Who knows?
[00:10:37] People just keep...
[00:10:39] People still, even to this day, like you just got to read the Bible, like they'll come to
[00:10:42] me and say, you just got to read the Bible.
[00:10:44] With an open heart.
[00:10:45] Oh, that's the only way.
[00:10:47] And you gotta be open to receiving his work.
[00:10:50] So an open mind doesn't matter, but an open heart.
[00:10:53] Yes.
[00:10:54] That's, that's where I'm making the mistake is that it is.
[00:10:56] Well, I have to feel my way to God, not think my way to God.
[00:10:59] No, that is correct.
[00:11:00] Absolutely.
[00:11:01] Because when you say have, you should have an open mind, the right perfect response that they will always give you,
[00:11:07] but don't have your head so open that your brain falls out.
[00:11:11] I've heard that quoted so many times,
[00:11:12] and then I heard my mom say it, and I was like, oh, mom.
[00:11:16] It sucks when your parents give cliches
[00:11:20] that they don't realize our right wing talking point
[00:11:23] cliches, and you're just like, oh, you're the stereotype.
[00:11:29] Right.
[00:11:30] Like one time I was telling my mom how you shouldn't say to people,
[00:11:36] like, you should smile more.
[00:11:37] Like that's not acceptable.
[00:11:39] We don't tell women you owe us a fucking smile.
[00:11:42] Right.
[00:11:42] Like that's don't don't do that.
[00:11:45] Sure, yeah.
[00:11:46] And my mom was like, I'm going to because, you know,
[00:11:49] it's nice.
[00:11:50] And I was like, oh, you don't understand.
[00:11:54] You think you're in charge of, you know,
[00:11:58] if you want to hug somebody, you don't give any fucks
[00:12:01] if that person doesn't want to be hugged.
[00:12:03] Right.
[00:12:03] You want to hug them so you get your way.
[00:12:06] You don't care about them.
[00:12:08] You want to tell them to smile and you think that receiving that smile is better for you
[00:12:17] than it is for the person who's being ordered to smile or not smile.
[00:12:22] Sorry.
[00:12:23] I just, it's very frustrating. Yeah. Okay. Therefore,
[00:12:27] says God, behold, the days are coming says the Lord that they shall no longer say as
[00:12:33] the Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt. But as the
[00:12:38] Lord lives who brought up and led the descendants of the house of Israel from the North country
[00:12:43] from all the countries where I had driven them, and they shall dwell in their own land.
[00:12:47] He stressed to lead them a lot of places because he scatters them a lot of places and
[00:12:50] kills them a lot of places.
[00:12:52] Scatters mother cover.
[00:12:53] I mean, you know, like he wouldn't have to move them around.
[00:12:55] So goddamn much of it.
[00:12:56] If you just stop doing that shit.
[00:12:57] I mean, that is true.
[00:12:59] And we talked about this too.
[00:13:01] Like he's a perfect being, right?
[00:13:04] Like, why can't he just create them correct the first time?
[00:13:09] Why can't he set things in motions correct the first time?
[00:13:12] It seems like if you have that much power
[00:13:15] that is claimed by God that you should be able to get it right.
[00:13:19] And I understand people will say, yeah,
[00:13:21] God wanted to give us free will and this, that and the other.
[00:13:24] But then if you're giving us free will, then- Hands off, bitch. say, yeah, God, one of the give us free will and this that, but then if you're giving us free will, then hands off, bitch.
[00:13:27] Right.
[00:13:28] Yeah.
[00:13:29] It's either hands off or you create the perfect being, which is what do you want?
[00:13:32] Do you want to see how your experiment turns out?
[00:13:34] Or do you want us to worship and fear you all the time?
[00:13:39] It sounds to me based on what I've read that you want us to worship and fear you all the
[00:13:42] time.
[00:13:43] Right.
[00:13:44] So if that's the case, just make us do that.
[00:13:46] Right. It's true.
[00:13:47] It's true.
[00:13:48] It's not. I don't think you should just be able to do that, right?
[00:13:51] Yeah, you should. Yeah. I mean, if you were a God, yeah.
[00:13:54] Yeah. My understanding of the term God anyways, right. Here's what I find interesting.
[00:13:59] He says that you're not going to be known anymore as your God led you out of Egypt.
[00:14:06] And it's so funny because like thousands of years later,
[00:14:09] he's still known as the God that led the Israelites out of Egypt.
[00:14:13] Well, yeah, that's one of the most popular stories from the Bible.
[00:14:15] Right. But he's like, no, no, no, you're gonna be known as I put you back together in Israel.
[00:14:19] And it's like, well, it's been a couple thousand years
[00:14:21] and you haven't got around to it yet.
[00:14:23] Although the Christians are like, it's coming.
[00:14:25] But you gotta keep in mind,
[00:14:27] and you know, this was written by human beings, right?
[00:14:29] Sure.
[00:14:30] And at the time that these were being written,
[00:14:33] this news was bigger than them coming out of Egypt, right?
[00:14:37] Because it's more relevant,
[00:14:38] it's right there in their face.
[00:14:40] Right.
[00:14:40] They can't, humans can't possibly foresee other humans reading the same fucking material
[00:14:47] 2000 and 3000 years later. It's like trying to understand that you're in a historical moment
[00:14:52] as it's unfolding. Right. I mean, we understand that Trump was definitely a fucking historical moment
[00:14:59] as we were living through that. We understood that Obama being president was a historical moment as we were
[00:15:05] living that. We understood that 9-11 was a historical moment as we were living that.
[00:15:10] But it will also matter who holds power for any length of time. So let's say Republicans
[00:15:17] end up holding power for the next 20 years. We might not read as much about Obama as we would about Trump. Right. Particularly in Texas who they do their textbooks separately from the rest of the United States
[00:15:32] and their textbooks, their history textbooks in particular are so different already.
[00:15:39] And I know this because I live there.
[00:15:41] History can be found out by anybody, but your understanding of what history is based on your
[00:15:47] upbringing is usually molded from a specific set of books that were allowed to be taught
[00:15:55] to you.
[00:15:56] Right.
[00:15:57] Right.
[00:15:58] Everybody is basing their idea of the world on this a lot of the times versus the actual
[00:16:02] breakdown of events in history.
[00:16:05] Looking back at 9-11, even that in the, what, 20 plus years since it happened, our understanding
[00:16:14] and thinking of that event has changed.
[00:16:17] It's crazy that that happened over 20 years ago, but also the other day, I read that John
[00:16:22] Candy died over, it was 30 years ago, like a day or two ago.
[00:16:25] You said it was yesterday.
[00:16:26] Yesterday, yeah.
[00:16:27] It was 30 years ago.
[00:16:28] 30 years since John Candy died.
[00:16:30] Look, I know we're dating ourselves,
[00:16:31] but I say even saying John Candy, but 30 years ago?
[00:16:35] That does not compute to me.
[00:16:37] That does not compute to me because I can remember,
[00:16:42] I think it was like the 20-year mark
[00:16:44] or even the 15 year mark and Adam Sandler did a song tribute to him that just had me in tears.
[00:16:52] Was that John Candy or Chris Farley?
[00:16:54] Oh dude, it was Chris Farley, my bad. Oh wow. Okay, nothing. Nothing. Forget I said that. That was my bad. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was another great that died too soon. But no, you're right. Right. Okay. Anyway, let's carry on with the Bible.
[00:17:09] Carry on. Much less interesting, but it's why we're here. Yeah. Okay. So my heart is broken within me. Wait, my heart within me is broken. Oh, well, yeah, sorry, I just like the difference yeah because of the profits all my bones shake
[00:17:25] My bones shake when I don't drink enough water. I'm taking from this God has bones. Oh
[00:17:32] No, you know what I think this is Jeremiah talking. Oh, yeah
[00:17:37] From my notes. This is Jeremiah talking my heart within me is broken because of the prophets, all my bones shake. I'm like a drunken man and like a man
[00:17:46] whom wine has overcome because of the Lord.
[00:17:50] Okay. Okay.
[00:17:51] And because of his holy words.
[00:17:53] Yeah, this is Jeremiah talking.
[00:17:54] Yeah. Okay.
[00:17:55] For the land is full of adulterers, you cheaty cheaters.
[00:17:59] Yeah.
[00:18:00] For because of a curse, the land mourns.
[00:18:04] Because of a curse, the land mourns. Because of a curse?
[00:18:05] Apparently.
[00:18:06] OK.
[00:18:07] The I mean, every time I curse the land mourns.
[00:18:12] Oh, that reminds me like, so I keep saying that I babysit this toddler all the time.
[00:18:17] And like every time he has started like picking up some of the naughty language that we do.
[00:18:25] And so today when one of the author authoritarian figures left the house,
[00:18:33] Parental figure, no, it was grandma.
[00:18:35] But she said something like blah, blah, blah, is pissing me off.
[00:18:40] And as she shut the door, he goes, it's pissing me off.
[00:18:43] And he goes, it's pissing me off.
[00:18:48] And he goes, it's pissing me off.
[00:18:50] And I was like, Oh, yeah.
[00:18:56] And like as a writer, words are just words and I don't like to apply the Voldemort.
[00:19:02] You know, symptom to like, I don't like to lend power to words that they don't deserve. But at the same time, like,
[00:19:05] I also don't want mom and dad to come home from work.
[00:19:08] And their three-year-old is going, that pisses me off.
[00:19:11] Well, I feel, just as Jean down this road,
[00:19:14] just for a second, there's a point
[00:19:17] when they're too young to understand
[00:19:19] where you have to kind of correct it
[00:19:20] so that they don't say it in public, right?
[00:19:22] Right.
[00:19:23] But when our kids specifically got older,
[00:19:25] we allowed them to cuss if they wanted to,
[00:19:27] as long as they understood when it was correct
[00:19:29] and when it wasn't.
[00:19:30] And it worked out differently with both the kids.
[00:19:33] It did, it did.
[00:19:34] One cusses all the time.
[00:19:36] The other one refuses to cuss at all.
[00:19:37] Kid does not cuss.
[00:19:39] Yeah.
[00:19:39] I mean, kid might cuss in private.
[00:19:42] As a matter of fact, I overheard them once,
[00:19:44] say, damn it, when they dropped something,
[00:19:46] but they were mortified when I started laughing
[00:19:49] because I heard it.
[00:19:50] I was like, oh my God, you caused.
[00:19:53] But yeah, they do not.
[00:19:54] And that was just with them last year.
[00:19:56] Yeah.
[00:19:57] And yeah, that was the first time I ever heard them cause.
[00:19:59] And I'm sure that they do on private, obviously,
[00:20:02] but they do not want us to. And we are cool, man.
[00:20:06] We're like, whatever you do.
[00:20:07] Yeah. No, we did not break them over.
[00:20:09] No, I think in fact, we encouraged them to let it out sometimes.
[00:20:13] I mean, because you don't have, you don't always have to hold your anger in.
[00:20:16] This is not that house.
[00:20:17] This house is, you know, if you need to cry, cry, if you need to, you know,
[00:20:21] vent your spleen and say your feels, do it.
[00:20:24] Right. Yeah. Okay. Anyway, curse the land
[00:20:27] because the land mourns or the land is mourning because of a curse. The pleasant places of the
[00:20:34] wilderness are dried up. Their course of life is evil and their might is not right.
[00:20:42] Wow. I feel like that's the same I've heard before. It is. Yeah. It is.
[00:20:46] For both prophet and priest are profane. Oh, damn. That's harsh words. Yeah. Yes. In my house,
[00:20:54] I have found their wickedness says the Lord. Therefore, their way shall be to them like slippery ways. Ooh, it's slippery slope.
[00:21:06] Okay, all right.
[00:21:07] Yeah.
[00:21:07] In the darkness, they shall be driven on and fall in them.
[00:21:11] For I will bring disaster on them.
[00:21:13] Oh man.
[00:21:14] The year of their punishment says the Lord.
[00:21:17] The year of punishment, huh?
[00:21:19] The year of their punishment.
[00:21:20] I don't know if he's saying that you're gonna be punished
[00:21:22] the whole year, but this is definitely the year is happening.
[00:21:25] Sometimes you decide like sometimes you said he's going to kill people and sometimes you
[00:21:28] just feel like he's going to torture people for a while.
[00:21:30] Right.
[00:21:31] Who knows?
[00:21:32] He's wishy washy.
[00:21:33] He's got his magnifying glass out of his can't decide which one is going to be the day.
[00:21:36] Yeah, I mean, it's God.
[00:21:38] He's kind of a flake.
[00:21:39] Right.
[00:21:40] And I says God have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria. They prophesied by Baal and caused
[00:21:47] my people Israel to air. I have a note about that later, but that'll be our Q and A tune
[00:21:53] inside of J. Okay. Also, I have seen a horrible thing in the prophets of Jerusalem. They committed
[00:22:00] adultery and walk in lies. They also strengthen the hands of evil doers so that no one turns back from his wickedness.
[00:22:10] All of them are like, sawed him to me and her inhabitants like Gamora.
[00:22:15] Wow.
[00:22:16] You know, I hate to say something good here, but at least God is Distinguishing the leaders as bad and saying that there is some redemption for the people if they if they choose to go away to these other lands
[00:22:32] Right, right like that's part of what we kind of talked about last chapter and he is focusing on
[00:22:39] The leaders of the people and that that's a new tone
[00:22:43] That's far. Yeah. Yeah, I appreciate that you're right leaders of the people and that's a new tone that's being taken.
[00:22:45] Yeah, I appreciate that.
[00:22:46] You're right.
[00:22:47] You're right.
[00:22:48] We should call that out and say something good since we're here always to say everything
[00:22:53] bad.
[00:22:54] Right.
[00:22:55] Yeah.
[00:22:56] No, you're right.
[00:22:57] We don't always say everything bad.
[00:22:58] No, there just always is something bad.
[00:22:59] That's what I meant.
[00:23:00] Right.
[00:23:01] I mean, it's not like we're looking for the bad at this point.
[00:23:03] You don't even have to.
[00:23:04] It's just right fucking there.
[00:23:05] Right, right.
[00:23:06] Okay.
[00:23:07] Therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets.
[00:23:11] Behold, I will feed them with wormwood and make them drink the water of gall.
[00:23:18] He sees you use that before.
[00:23:20] Yeah, yes.
[00:23:21] I'm over it.
[00:23:22] For from the prophets of Jerusalem, profaneness has gone out
[00:23:27] into all the lands, not profaneness. Oh, no. He's kind of repeating himself here. He literally
[00:23:33] just said that and he's using some of the same forms of punishment in the past. And I'm like,
[00:23:37] God, boring. Like, what does God need at the Saurus? Why can't God be more creative?
[00:23:45] I feel like there was a little bit more creative ways
[00:23:48] to punish people earlier on in the Bible.
[00:23:50] True.
[00:23:51] What with like the earthquakes that swallowed people
[00:23:53] and the fire.
[00:23:53] That was cool.
[00:23:54] He shot fire out at the, you know, people and then,
[00:23:56] yeah, he made random people talk.
[00:23:59] What about the snakes?
[00:24:00] Yeah, right?
[00:24:01] That was cool.
[00:24:02] Yeah.
[00:24:03] No, there were some really cool fucking punishments back
[00:24:05] early on. Now he's like, I'm gonna shake you up a bit. Now you're gonna drink some bad
[00:24:09] water. Yeah. Like whatever. Die. Eat each other. Whatever. Thus says the Lord of hosts,
[00:24:16] do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophecy to you. They make you worthless.
[00:24:21] They speak a vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the Lord.
[00:24:25] They continually say to those who despise me, the Lord has said, you shall have peace.
[00:24:32] And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say,
[00:24:36] no evil shall come upon you.
[00:24:39] Okay, again, we talked about this in multiple chapters before, but it seemingly, it seems like no one really particularly likes Jeremiah all that much.
[00:24:49] He's got a lot of enemies, right?
[00:24:50] Yeah.
[00:24:51] And all these other prophets and priests are saying, you all going to be good.
[00:24:56] We're all going to be okay.
[00:24:57] Just chillax.
[00:24:59] Which one do you go by?
[00:25:00] You go by the guy that's like kind of like on the outs with the rest of the
[00:25:04] people and being weird over there shouting a lot or do you go with people that are go by. You go by the guy that's like kind of like on the outs with the rest of the people
[00:25:05] and being weird over there shouting a lot or do you go with people that are like it's
[00:25:08] all going to be okay. God will take care of us. I don't know if we put those in today's
[00:25:13] terms. Today we've got Republicans saying the world's not on fire. Relax. Relax. It
[00:25:20] depends on how you on how you view that though. Like they do talk about how the world is on fire because all of these outside evils are trying
[00:25:27] to infiltrate them.
[00:25:28] Well no, it just depends on the day of the week.
[00:25:30] Either the world's not on fire.
[00:25:33] There's no such thing as climate change.
[00:25:35] Call me your tits.
[00:25:36] It's fine.
[00:25:37] Right.
[00:25:38] Or they're like, of course the world is on fire because those crazy liberals and their
[00:25:42] day of gender.
[00:25:43] Right.
[00:25:44] Like it just depends on what mood they're in and whether they're
[00:25:47] trying to get you to be excited for them or mad at us.
[00:25:51] Right.
[00:25:52] Yeah.
[00:25:53] Us being the crazy liberals with the gay agenda.
[00:25:57] Yeah.
[00:25:57] Right.
[00:25:57] Yeah.
[00:25:58] OK.
[00:25:58] But who Disney and whatnot?
[00:26:00] No, Disney.
[00:26:02] It's so funny that they think that Disney is like so liberal and that we
[00:26:06] like love Disney and it's like no, they got a lot of they get a lot of things
[00:26:11] wrong.
[00:26:12] They do.
[00:26:13] And like they think that like we love the NFL and stuff and we're like, not so
[00:26:20] much.
[00:26:21] I mean, some of us do.
[00:26:22] Okay, but it's, but it's not like a necessity.
[00:26:26] Yeah. Yeah.
[00:26:27] Like you don't have to like some people do.
[00:26:29] Some people don't.
[00:26:30] I would say probably as a overall thing between all liberal men
[00:26:35] and women is probably on the not 50% side as far as people
[00:26:41] that love NFL football or whatever, you know,
[00:26:44] I'd say it's not a majority
[00:26:46] Would would you not say though that the ones that are?
[00:26:51] Condemning football for being a violent sport and causing
[00:26:55] Massive head injuries is probably more often than not liberal than yes, I'm public in yeah
[00:27:00] Because that's yeah because that's compassion because that's empathy because it's health and science. Yeah. Yeah, so definitely I would put that on that side. Yeah, because that's compassion, because that's empathy, because that is health and science.
[00:27:05] Yeah, yeah, so definitely I would put that on that side.
[00:27:08] Yeah, okay.
[00:27:09] For who has stood in the Council of the Lord
[00:27:12] and has perceived and heard his word,
[00:27:15] who has marked his word and heard it?
[00:27:18] Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord has gone forth in fury.
[00:27:22] Oh, not a whirlwind.
[00:27:24] I wanna see it, we had a whirlwind today and our power went out where I was babysitting that.
[00:27:29] That's funny because I was, I worked down in Cincinnati.
[00:27:31] We live in Dayton and it would, it barely sprinkled down where I was.
[00:27:35] I know, like, I told you, Oh no, the power just went out and you were like, why?
[00:27:39] I was like, all the rain and you're like, what rain?
[00:27:42] And I was like, the thunder in the lightning.
[00:27:44] The house was shaking and boom. And you're like, Jesus rain? And I was like, the thunder in the lightning, the house was shaking and boom.
[00:27:46] And you're like, Jesus Christ,
[00:27:47] did you move to another country or something?
[00:27:50] Like literally we're like, what, 45 minutes apart?
[00:27:53] Not even, but yeah.
[00:27:54] Yeah.
[00:27:55] Okay, anyway, yeah.
[00:27:56] A whirlwind has gone forth in fury.
[00:27:59] That's crazy.
[00:28:00] A violent whirlwind.
[00:28:02] Oh, I wish I'd finish that.
[00:28:03] Not just a, not just a.
[00:28:04] Wouldn't, I would assume that any whirlwind would be kind of violent.
[00:28:07] I mean, okay, there's some mild whirlwinds. They're not tornadoes.
[00:28:11] I guess you got those ones that just kind of blow the leaves around.
[00:28:13] The tumbleweeds and stuff. Yeah. Oh my God, have you ever seen a tumbleweed?
[00:28:17] No, but you have told me all about it and I've seen them on movies and stuff.
[00:28:20] They are so funny and ridiculous. Like Like I had never really seen one. Yeah. And
[00:28:27] my sister and I went on this long distance trip and we drove through Texas and we saw
[00:28:31] them and they're just these like bumbling bumblers. They're just like, doo doo doo doo
[00:28:36] boom. And they're so silly looking. Yeah. They're just, I don't understand it anyway.
[00:28:42] Yeah. Well, a whirlwind doesn't have to be violent. Sure. But these ones are because they're of the Lord.
[00:28:47] Right.
[00:28:48] Okay.
[00:28:49] It will fall violently on the head of the wicked.
[00:28:52] The anger of the Lord will not turn back until he has executed and performed the thoughts of his heart.
[00:28:58] Oh, that's heavy.
[00:29:01] In the latter days, you will understand it perfectly.
[00:29:05] Oh, okay.
[00:29:06] Like the latter days.
[00:29:07] Wait, no, no, no, no, the later days, the, the, you know,
[00:29:11] yeah, latter, L-A-T-T-E-R.
[00:29:13] Yeah.
[00:29:14] Like the days of latter.
[00:29:16] Right.
[00:29:16] You know, yeah.
[00:29:18] I have not sent these prophets yet.
[00:29:20] They ran.
[00:29:21] I have not spoken to them yet.
[00:29:22] They prophesied the book.
[00:29:25] But if they had stood in my council and had caused my people to hear my words, then they would have turned them from
[00:29:30] their evil way and from the evil of their doings is. So then why don't we even refer to them as
[00:29:36] prophets if they didn't actually get any prophecies from the Lord? It's true, right? Like it's your
[00:29:42] God, this is your book. Why don't we just say, why don't we, every single time call them false prophets or liars
[00:29:47] or whatever?
[00:29:48] Yeah, yeah.
[00:29:49] You know, we don't even have to refer to them as prophets.
[00:29:51] I guess maybe it was a title they had, but...
[00:29:54] What about like, false priests or fake leaders or bad guys?
[00:30:00] You would think you would refer to them as not a type of person that gets...
[00:30:04] Lawyers. guys. You would think you would refer to them as not a politician that gets because lawyers.
[00:30:05] First time I heard them say that they aren't able to receive his message. Right. I didn't
[00:30:11] know that until just now. I don't know. I'm just saying. Am I a God near at hand says
[00:30:17] the Lord and not a God a far off? Can anyone hide himself in secret places? So I shall not see him says the Lord.
[00:30:26] I mean, he couldn't find a couple of people early on the Bible.
[00:30:30] It's true.
[00:30:31] It's true.
[00:30:32] Do I not feel heaven and earth says the Lord?
[00:30:34] I mean, I don't know.
[00:30:35] Do you?
[00:30:36] I haven't.
[00:30:37] I thought it was literally sitting on that seat on that crate that they made for him.
[00:30:41] And we're his footstool.
[00:30:44] So I mean, just your feet.
[00:30:46] Depends on the day, right?
[00:30:47] Your feet feel the earth.
[00:30:48] Sometimes he just sits in a regular old seat.
[00:30:51] Sometimes he fills the entire earth in Nevins or something.
[00:30:53] I don't know.
[00:30:54] I haven't seen him.
[00:30:55] I don't know how big he is.
[00:30:56] Sometimes he's a pillar of black smoke.
[00:30:57] Okay.
[00:30:58] Look, look, you know what else?
[00:30:59] I'm not here to body shame.
[00:31:01] I don't know how big you are.
[00:31:03] Question is God, are you happy in your own skin?
[00:31:05] Right.
[00:31:06] Yeah.
[00:31:07] And do you feel like you are too big?
[00:31:11] I don't know.
[00:31:12] Like...
[00:31:13] Well, it was a discussion we had early on because we wondered, we discussed because they say
[00:31:18] that he was created man and gods in his image or whatever, right?
[00:31:23] Yeah.
[00:31:24] That would indicate to me that at some level,
[00:31:27] we're going to be very similar looking to God, right? Sure.
[00:31:31] That's not to say that maybe God can't change shape. He's a fucking God apparently, right?
[00:31:36] But maybe he's not, you know, all the time, and he's sitting in a seat on the arc, the
[00:31:42] great, you know? And he uses a foot stool.
[00:31:45] Right.
[00:31:46] So I don't know.
[00:31:47] I don't have any idea.
[00:31:48] It's to me, it just feels like he is whatever he needs to be for any given chapter that
[00:31:52] we're reading.
[00:31:53] Kind of like the Republic.
[00:31:54] Yeah.
[00:31:55] Um, I think it's cool that vampires can turn into bats.
[00:32:00] Totally not related.
[00:32:01] I just thought as long as we're talking about things that can change shapes.
[00:32:04] Yeah. Okay.
[00:32:05] Hashtag scientific facts.
[00:32:07] Well, yeah.
[00:32:08] Yeah.
[00:32:09] I have heard what the prophets have said
[00:32:12] who prophecy lies in my name saying,
[00:32:14] I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
[00:32:17] How long will it be?
[00:32:18] Wait, no, that was not part of the.
[00:32:20] No. Okay. Okay.
[00:32:21] Saying I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
[00:32:23] Okay. Yeah.
[00:32:24] He's quoting them
[00:32:25] Okay, that was the end of the quote. Okay. How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophecy lies?
[00:32:32] Again, why are we calling liars prophets? But okay?
[00:32:35] Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart who try to make my people forget my name by their dreams
[00:32:43] Which everyone tells his neighbor as their
[00:32:45] father's forgot my name for ball. They didn't though. Right. That's why you still have problems.
[00:32:54] That's why we still have it written down in the Bible multiple times.
[00:32:59] Whatever, go on. Their father's forgot my name for all. Oh, I see they're saying that their father's forgot
[00:33:06] about Yahweh. Yeah. In place of Baal. Okay. I miss heard that. I'm sorry. Yeah. But here's my
[00:33:13] thing though. Why they dream in and where are those dreams coming from? So they are prophets,
[00:33:20] but they're prophets of what demons or other gods? Well, I think they're just saying that
[00:33:23] they're dreaming of they're taking their interpreting their dreams however they want to,
[00:33:27] and they're spreading the message that they want to do.
[00:33:28] But maybe if there's like multiple dudes,
[00:33:31] and they're all having similar dreams,
[00:33:33] and they're all prophesying,
[00:33:34] maybe they are prophets just not of Yahweh.
[00:33:39] If we're going back to the multiple God theory, yeah.
[00:33:41] Right. That's what I'm saying.
[00:33:42] Like maybe either demons or alternate gods. Yeah. Right. That's what I'm saying. Like maybe either demons or alternate
[00:33:46] gods. Yeah. Or just crazy fucked up dreams because you know, you ate fucking spicy food earlier.
[00:33:51] It's true because they thought water was bad for you and whatever. Yeah, it's true. Okay.
[00:33:55] The prophet who has a dream let him tell a dream and he who has my word let him speak my word
[00:34:05] who has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat, says the Lord?
[00:34:08] Is not my word like a fucking fire, says the Lord?
[00:34:13] And like a hammer that breaks the fucking rock in pieces.
[00:34:17] Is it?
[00:34:19] Is his word,
[00:34:21] I don't know.
[00:34:22] I've never heard it.
[00:34:23] Is it a hammer?
[00:34:24] I can't speak from firsthand experience with that. I would think that I
[00:34:28] Would think that maybe it could be but who could know because you haven't spoken to anybody like that
[00:34:35] He's kind of a narcissist. So maybe he just thinks his account across that way
[00:34:39] Kind of like how he sees himself kind of like a dude who doesn't think his own fart stink
[00:34:44] They don't. Oh my god.
[00:34:49] Therefore behold, I am against the prophets, says the Lord, who steal my words. Everyone from his
[00:34:55] neighbor, behold, I'm against the prophet, says the Lord, who use their tongues and say, he says,
[00:35:02] behold, I'm against those who prophecy false dreams, says the Lord,
[00:35:07] and tell them and cause my people to air by their lies and by their recklessness. Hold on,
[00:35:11] hold on, hold on. I'm holding. How do you prophecy false dreams? Either you had a dream or you didn't.
[00:35:20] A dream is not false. It happened. Right. Right. Yeah. If you have a dream and
[00:35:26] you think that it came from God, especially, yeah, I mean, if people are having dreams
[00:35:33] and prophesying from their dreams, yeah, and that becomes the norm, then you're just going
[00:35:37] to believe that your dreams are prophecies. Well, yeah. Why shouldn't you think that if
[00:35:41] they're very powerful dreams, right? I'm protesting on these people's behalf. Yeah. Look, I shouldn't you think that if they're very powerful James right like I'm I'm protesting on these people's behalf
[00:35:46] Yeah, look I don't know if these dudes were being honest or not
[00:35:52] Sounds like probably politically they weren't but the way God is describing it is
[00:35:57] They're having all these dreams and whatever and then they're like saying that their dreams are prophets from God
[00:36:03] And I'm telling you they're not right and I'm telling you, they're not.
[00:36:05] Right.
[00:36:05] And I'm like, maybe you should clarify.
[00:36:08] But it's literally only telling Jeremiah.
[00:36:10] Right.
[00:36:11] So that's what I'm saying.
[00:36:12] Maybe you should clarify.
[00:36:14] Yeah.
[00:36:15] Maybe you should shout a little louder.
[00:36:17] Definitely should.
[00:36:17] Maybe you should tell more than fucking crazy people.
[00:36:20] Yeah.
[00:36:20] Like, it's not hard, dude.
[00:36:22] Get it together.
[00:36:23] Right.
[00:36:23] Okay.
[00:36:24] Yeah.
[00:36:24] I did not send them or command them.
[00:36:27] Therefore they shall not profit this people at all says the Lord.
[00:36:31] Well, whatever.
[00:36:32] Yeah.
[00:36:33] So when these people or the prophet or the priest ask you saying, what is the oracle
[00:36:39] of the Lord, you shall then say to them, I don't work.
[00:36:44] I will even forsake you, says the Lord,
[00:36:46] and ask for the prophet and the priest
[00:36:48] and the people who say, the Oracle of the Lord.
[00:36:51] I will even punish that man and his house.
[00:36:55] It's like, don't lie on me.
[00:36:56] I will fuck you shit up.
[00:36:58] Yeah.
[00:36:58] Get my fucking name out your mouth.
[00:37:03] Or if you're Nikki Haley, get my daughter's name out your mouth. Or if you're Nikki Haley, get my
[00:37:07] daughter's name out your voice. Oh, Nikki, right? Nikki, you
[00:37:12] almost had it. Yeah, you're so cute. It's like an old person
[00:37:15] saying, if I throw this, did I eat it? No, you could never
[00:37:22] eat anything old person. Thus, every one of you shall say to
[00:37:28] his neighbor and everyone to his brother, what is the Lord answered? And what is the
[00:37:33] Lord spoken? And the Oracle of the Lord, you shall mention no more for every man's word
[00:37:39] will be his Oracle for you have perverted the words of the living God, the Lord of hosts are God.
[00:37:45] If you've never heard it before, how can you pervert it?
[00:37:48] Yeah.
[00:37:49] You don't know what the Lord sounds like because he's not talking to you.
[00:37:55] So according to God himself in the last couple of chapters, he's not talking to really anybody
[00:38:01] except for Jeremiah or Isaiah or whatever.
[00:38:06] So it's impossible for them to distinguish what is correct and what's not unless they
[00:38:12] implicitly believe everything that these singular prophets in these given times are saying.
[00:38:19] And that just seems an absurd leap of faith to have to make, to put all of your faith for
[00:38:26] everything that you've learned throughout your entire life into one person and change
[00:38:30] everything because of that one person.
[00:38:32] Not God, not God, but that one person who's saying that God is saying this.
[00:38:37] Yeah.
[00:38:38] It's just I have a problem with that.
[00:38:40] I do too.
[00:38:41] And God's lack of logic on this point is startling given that it's supposed
[00:38:47] to be God. Right. Like it's almost like it's man instead of God. It's almost like that isn't it?
[00:38:54] Yeah. But to enact this much retribution on these people. Yeah.
[00:38:59] Based on the fact that they didn't listen to this one fucking guy. Yeah. Or this one other guy,
[00:39:04] a generation ago or whatever.
[00:39:06] Right.
[00:39:07] I don't care if you go back five generations
[00:39:08] and it's one guy every fucking generation,
[00:39:10] you're still kind of the one guy per generation
[00:39:12] to relay this message to make sure
[00:39:15] that you don't have to kill them later.
[00:39:18] Like that's fucked up.
[00:39:19] Here's my deal.
[00:39:20] If you are the God that you say that you are,
[00:39:22] you're a dick, regardless. Paired the end.
[00:39:25] Otherwise, you're not real and these fucking people are liars.
[00:39:30] Right.
[00:39:31] And I'm going to go with liars and also...
[00:39:35] We don't even have to go so far as to say liar.
[00:39:37] They may fully believe what they're saying is true.
[00:39:40] They may feel it.
[00:39:41] I mean, you don't know what their spiritual experience was you're right you're right that they may fully believe that they are talking to God.
[00:39:51] But even if they believe it.
[00:39:55] You're still we still have to make the leap of faith to put our faith in that human being right and believe that he is the only one that God is talking to. Right. And this is the message that he's having you deliver. Right. Like what?
[00:40:10] And that's a bullshit ask from a deity that could talk to everybody if they wanted to. Yeah. No, I totally agree. Totally agree. And that's before you even get into what news is he delivering, right? Like the story is so ridiculous.
[00:40:25] Okay, thus you shall say to the prophet,
[00:40:28] what is the Lord answered you?
[00:40:30] And what is the Lord spookin'?
[00:40:32] But since you say the Oracle of the Lord,
[00:40:36] therefore thus says the Lord,
[00:40:38] because you say this word, the Oracle of the Lord,
[00:40:40] and I have sent to you saying,
[00:40:42] do not say the Oracle of the Lord,
[00:40:44] therefore behold, I, even even I will utterly forget you and fucking forsake you and the city that I gave
[00:40:52] you and your fathers and will cast you out of my fucking presence.
[00:40:56] Still, and I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you and a perpetual shame which shall not be for God.
[00:41:06] Ten. Boom. The end.
[00:41:08] Ah, okay.
[00:41:09] Okay. So still punishing.
[00:41:12] Yeah. Like, I mean, that's what the entire book of Jeremiah has been about so far.
[00:41:15] Yeah. Punish, punish, punish, punish.
[00:41:19] I'm going to get you.
[00:41:20] I'm, we keep saying it.
[00:41:21] We keep saying it.
[00:41:22] We keep, because I mean, every time we read one of these books, it's always
[00:41:27] repetitive bullshit all the way through yeah, but
[00:41:32] To put all of your faith in one other human being that is supposedly talking to God I know we just got done talking about this
[00:41:34] But that is that's what bothers me the most about these last two books with Isaiah and Jeremiah
[00:41:39] Yeah, is that I'm supposed to put everything into the idea that this one person
[00:41:44] For us is that I'm supposed to put everything into the idea that this one person, for us, thousands of years ago,
[00:41:48] had all the correct ideas.
[00:41:49] Yeah.
[00:41:50] It's just, it makes absolutely no sense to me.
[00:41:54] Right.
[00:41:55] And it doesn't hold any sway or any type of,
[00:42:00] it doesn't change any beliefs in me by hearing these words
[00:42:03] because it's
[00:42:05] it's asinine.
[00:42:07] It is asinine.
[00:42:08] And furthermore, it honestly paints the picture of every preacher and pastor
[00:42:14] and father and, you know, all them preachy guys.
[00:42:20] Yeah.
[00:42:21] Today, they are all false prophets.
[00:42:24] Well, I mean, you can tell you can tell that just by base,
[00:42:28] you go into one church and then another,
[00:42:30] and they're gonna be saying completely different ideas.
[00:42:32] And both of them are bullshit
[00:42:33] if you have read this fucking book.
[00:42:35] Right, right.
[00:42:36] So that's what I'm saying.
[00:42:38] According to what I'm reading,
[00:42:41] you know, when you say the Lord says,
[00:42:44] and he didn't fucking say that, or you're
[00:42:47] twisting his words, you are a liar and a false prophet, sir.
[00:42:52] The difference, and I'm not, I don't want to, I'm not trying to say you're exactly
[00:42:56] wrong.
[00:42:57] There are some people today that are saying that they are prophets of the Lord.
[00:43:01] That definitely happens.
[00:43:02] But generally speaking, your local pastors, your local priests are reading the Bible and passages from the Bible and trying to interpret it
[00:43:12] and relay those messages from the Bible to their people.
[00:43:15] Okay. Except at the end of the day, they say they feel called. Right. And so they are saying, I feel called to do this, which is a very magical,
[00:43:29] whoy, whoy way of saying God picked me, I felt the picking. And therefore, what I am saying,
[00:43:37] I'm saying because he wants me to say it, which is like, just like a really cowardly way of saying,
[00:43:42] I could be a prophet, but I'm not gonna quite use those words
[00:43:46] because that's a little bit going too far.
[00:43:48] But isn't that kind of what they're doing in a low key way?
[00:43:52] They are trying to lend some authority to their voice
[00:43:55] by saying that they are called to it
[00:43:57] or they are driven by God or things like that.
[00:44:01] But they aren't directly saying God said this to me.
[00:44:04] Okay. Look, it's a nitpicky point, but like that's.
[00:44:09] They're definitely being shepherds
[00:44:11] and he is against the fucking shepherds right now
[00:44:14] that are lying in his name.
[00:44:15] That is true.
[00:44:16] That is definitely true.
[00:44:17] And so I'm sorry, 100% across the board,
[00:44:20] every single person across the board
[00:44:22] who has graduated seminary and put themselves in charge of a flock of fucking people in a building with a cross on top of it.
[00:44:29] Y'all are false prophets and liars and this book says so fuck off.
[00:44:35] And that's how I see it.
[00:44:37] Life has opinions.
[00:44:39] On that note, that was Jeremiah chapter 23.
[00:44:42] Sure as fuck was.
[00:44:44] Which means we'll be back tomorrow with.
[00:44:46] Jeremiah chapter 24.
[00:44:48] All right, we'll see you guys then.
[00:44:49] Bye.
