Psalms Chapters 132 - 134: Bible Study for Atheists

Husband and Wife cover Psalms 132 - 134

Psalm 132: A Prayer for Blessing on the Sanctuary. Starts, "Lord, remember David." This is the longest of the 15 psalms categorized as "a song of ascents." There is literally nothing special about this psalm. No notes. It is a perfectly blah specimen of Davidic bullshittery.

Psalm 133: The Blessings of Brotherly Unity. Starts, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity." The best part of this short psalm is the bit about how some plants are referred to as "Aaron's beard" because my dude didn't wear a bib when Moses dumped oil over his head.

Psalm 134: Exhortation to the Night-watchers / Praising the Lord in His House at Night. Starts, "Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD." Psalm 34 is the last of the fifteen Songs of Ascents! It urges us to pray for our leaders rather than hold them accountable and demand action.
