Psalm 79: A Lament over the Destruction of Jerusalem. Starts, "O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance." Something about /// dead bodies /// and /// no one to bury them /// was giving off super Gothic vibes. Then we hit "avenge the outpoured blood" and I was feeling all the Shirley Jackson.

Psalm 80: A Prayer for Restoration. Starts, "Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel." This is meant to be sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle Dandy and if anyone is interested in hearing how it goes, please reach out, and we'll set up a recording on Patreon. Only contributors will get to hear my dulcet tones break it down. Selah! (That's Greek for "Stop! Collaborate and Listen!")

Psalm 81: God's Goodness and Israel's Waywardness / An Appeal for Israel's Repentance. Starts, "Sing aloud unto God our strength." This is the middle of the middle of the middle. And our secret decoder rings discovered the hidden message: LISTEN! See? We told you to Selah.
