Psalm 141: A Prayer for Preservation from Evil. Starts, "Lord, I cry unto thee." The hard copy of this stuff was super messy, so a couple of the verses were corrupt, which means this translation is a "best guess" scenario. Not sure how this doesn't apply to the entire daggone Bible, but okay.
Psalm 142: A Prayer for Help in Trouble. Starts, "I cried unto the LORD with my voice." This psalm is used as a prayer in times of distress. David was such a cryer.
Psalm 143: An Earnest Prayer or Appeal for Deliverance and Guidance. Starts, "Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy." Can you even imagine making demands of a god who smote folks for picking up sticks on the wrong day? This guy has some cajones... or a severe lack of sandwiches in his picnic basket.
