[00:02:03] We had a zikiel getting a vision while he was sitting there with what was it 70 prophets or something like our elders

[00:06:41] Which faces north so that the North people again. Yeah each with a deadly weapon in his hand

[00:06:48] Six people though. Okay with them was a man clothed in linen who had a writing kit at his side

[00:06:56] Writing as in writer not like a writing

[00:06:59] Yeah, okay like a writing a scroll

[00:07:03] Okay, I'm gonna pause here because there's something interesting about that whole thing. Yeah, no

[00:07:08] It's I mean six people are not gonna conquer Jerusalem. So no, that's that's not what this is

[00:07:13] All right, okay stop presupposing that you know what's about to happen sometimes I do but you

[00:07:20] That's not what this is. Okay. Okay, so first of all there's a controversy

[00:07:26] Over whether there is six people or seven people total because like what we're reading here is a very simplified version

[00:07:35] Yeah, but um more complex versions like for example the King James or whatever. Yeah

[00:07:44] They say I saw six men and then it doesn't say with them was a man

[00:07:49] It says of them was a man. Oh

[00:07:52] And with the writing yeah, yeah, so

[00:07:56] Most people agree though even though it's a controversy. It's a small controversy

[00:08:06] Dressed with a weapon and then the one guy who has his pen and ink it stuff

[00:08:50] And it was an important item for many scholars which soon became symbolic of writers in general

[00:09:57] Now the glory of the God of Israel went up from above the cherubim where it had been

[00:10:03] So God is leaving his little arc seat. Yeah, cuz that was yeah, right?

[00:10:07] Yeah, okay and moved to the threshold of the temple. Okay, so he's at the door

[00:10:13] He's leaving. He's leaving the arc thing right? So he's that's his symbolic of him leaving Israel. Okay. Oh, okay

[00:10:21] Then the Lord called to the man clothed in linen who had the writing kit at his side and said to him

[00:10:29] So he's like a record keeper guy sure go throughout the city of Jerusalem

[00:10:33] And put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it

[00:10:41] Oh, wait, wait, so we're like this is like pass over again

[00:10:45] Like the Passover we're gonna mark everybody that he doesn't want to kill exactly Jesus Christ

[00:10:50] Yeah, for basically everybody who's like no, why are you doing this to Israel?

[00:12:25] God said to the others follow him through the city and kill without showing pity or compassion

[00:12:42] What I want to know is how the fuck does every child not have a mark on his forehead, right?

[00:13:37] Then he said to them defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain go

[00:13:42] So God is ordering them to file his own temple. He's like I don't sit there anymore

[00:13:46] Okay, not mine go ahead and defile it sure so they went out and began killing throughout the city

[00:13:52] While they were killing and I Ezekiel was left alone

[00:13:55] I fell face down crying out alas sovereign lord

[00:13:59] Are you going to destroy the entire remnant of Israel in this outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem?

[00:14:06] He's like Jesus Christ. What are you doing right like I think that's a fair question

[00:14:12] Yeah, I mean he did fall on his face. So he's like I respect that you are

[00:14:18] Powerful and your God and whatever but this seems crap. It is crap

[00:14:24] Yeah, I mean yeah, the it all the murder and mayhem that God calls causes is crap

[00:14:30] Like there's no justification for the things he's doing right you cannot you can't justify murder and that's what they

[00:14:39] anybody who believes this shit

[00:14:49] We're saying in canon in the Bible because we don't believe in God, right? Yeah

[00:16:34] They say the Lord has forsaken the land the Lord does not see so

[00:16:40] Hmm, I will not look on them with pity or spare them the Lord is forsaken the land

[00:16:44] So I'm gonna forsake the land. Yes exactly

[00:19:42] They're all connected with leaders. They all have family in high places. Yeah, all of them and

[00:19:49] So it seems to me that they all kind of know what's coming

[00:19:55] Without magic without help of God without, you know dreams and visions

[00:20:00] They kind of you can sometimes see what's coming. Yeah, you know, it's not no this is not rocket science

[00:20:06] Yeah, yeah, so they're just taking their best guesses and these things made it through like the written form that made it through

[00:20:13] Made it through because they were sort of kind of right. Yeah, you know like not even in the sort of kind of right

[00:20:19] They're not right exactly

[00:20:21] For all intents and purposes. Mm-hmm. They had some

[00:20:25] You know a semblance of truth that that was able to make it seem like they had some

[00:20:31] for

[00:20:32] You know vision of what was happening

[00:20:34] well

[00:20:34] And and then they had a little bit of help with people who came back along the way and

[00:20:39] Backfilled some of the information to make it even seem more magical

[00:20:43] Right, and well, of course, you know like in a chapter like this with Ezekiel, right?

[00:20:46] Especially given the the intro that we had to him. Yeah, you can take this vision about

[00:20:52] Angels and you can be like well, this is just a symbolism for the you know

[00:20:57] The common slaughter of the from the Babylonians, right? Because you know what's coming you can fill in the blanks yourself

[00:21:03] Sure, sure you have a preconceived notion, right?

[00:21:06] But then the whole mark, you know the head it just it's it's kind of I can see how it could be apologized away
