The Book of Proverbs is a collection of collections, the first of which (Proverbs 1 - 9) are referred to as the Didactic Discourses.
Proverbs 7: The Wiles of a Harlot / Warning Against the Adulteress. Wisdom is to be treated as a sister or a bride in order to counter the attraction to the adulteress. Harlots be out here in these streets, y'all, so watch out for ol' Honey Lips inviting you over to dinner!
Proverbs 8: The Excellence and Eternity of Wisdom / Wisdom's Call. This chapter contains "Wisdom's Second Speech" and boy-howdy, it's a doozy! She goes on and on about inviting the simps over for yum-yums. Then we learn about syzygies which isn't about scissoring even tho you can see how it might seem like it is.
Proverbs 9: Wisdom and the Foolish Woman / Invitations of Wisdom and of Folly. This chapter concludes the first collection of the book of Proverbs and introduces us to several varieties of Smart Girl Boss Bitches who want to warn us to shun that nasty hoe, Folly.
