Psalms Chapters 120 - 122: Bible Study for Atheists

Husband and Wife cover Psalms 120 - 122

Psalm 120: A Prayer for Deliverance from Deceitfulness. Starts, "In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me." This is the first of 15 psalms categorized as Song of Ascents. We have no idea why they were written... much like the rest of the Bible.

Psalm 121: The LORD Is Thy Keeper. Starts, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." The first verse is frequently quoted to commemorate monuments and memorials inspired by mountains or hills. What would a hill have to do in order to inspire memorializing? All the best hills I know are boring af.

Psalm 122: A Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. Starts, "I was glad." No notes, but the title makes me think of the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams.
