Psalm 82: A Rebuke of Unjust Judgments. Starts, "God standeth in the congregation of the mighty." This itty-bitty psalm is both a plea for justice AND a vision of God as the Judge of judges. It makes assumptions and leaps of comprehension that truly boggle the mind. This leads to Wife's wild assertion that grape kool-aid is the superior flavor above all others. Holler back and let us know your thoughts on this bold hot-take. Side note: we also learn about the Harrowing of Hell, which is the name of our next band.
Psalm 83: A Prayer for the Destruction of Israel's Enemies. Starts, "Keep not thou silence, O God." This psalm is the last of the Psalms of Asaph, which means Husband will no longer be subjected to Wife's ridiculous references to A$ap Rocky — and not a moment too soon! It's also the last of the psalms referring to God as Elohim, which, like, okay whatever. We learn about the Sirocco, a summer wind storm that currently seems to be running amuck in Ohio. Thanks, Canada!
