Psalms Chapters 123 - 125: Bible Study for Atheists

Husband and Wife cover Psalms 123 - 125

Psalm 123: A Prayer for Mercy / the Psalm of the eyes. Starts, "Unto thee lift I up mine eyes." Take heed / 'cause he's a lyrical poet / Psalm's on the scene / just in case you didn't know it. (That's some souped-up Vanilla Ice lyrics because I guess sometimes Hebrew rhymes.)

Psalm 124: Praise for Deliverance from Enemies. Starts, "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side." I scream, you scream, we all scream for VERSICLES!

Gimme a V —

Psalm 125: The LORD Is Round about His People. Starts, "They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion." Book recommendation: A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail, by Bill Bryson. It's funny, educational, enlightening, heart-warming, and ultimately way better than the Bible while still leaving readers with that same appreciation for mountains that this psalm purports to inspire.
