Psalms Chapters 129 - 131: Bible Study for Atheists

Husband and Wife cover Psalms 129 - 131

Psalm 129: A Prayer for the Overthrow of Downfall of Zion's Enemies / A Song of Victory over Zion’s Enemies / A Song of Degrees. Starts, "Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth." Why it was made one of the 'Songs of ascents' is unknown. Honestly that tracks for most of these psalms. They are shorter than the rest but otherwise don't really stand out as anything much different.

Psalm 130: Hope in the LORD's Redemption. Starts, "From the depths, I have cried out to you, O Lord." It is one of the psalms traditionally recited in times of communal distress. When I'm in distress I chant expletives, but you do you, boo.

Psalm 131: Childlike Repose in the LORD. Starts, "Lord, my heart is not haughty." Just empty your cute little brain of all thoughts. Don't worry over matters better left to your legislators. Get back to work and stop all that learning stuff. Education isn't for you. (Ugh. The message here is so gross.)
